A new tour for 2003. A one day, one night tour to Mitchell Falls and the fascinating Mitchell Plateau . This tour departs from Kununurra by light aircraft after a 5.30 pick up from your accommodation. Your scenic flight will take a spectacular track this morning passing over El Questro Station, Whyndam, the Berkley River Catchment area, Drysdale River National Park then on to Mitchell Plateau itself, landing approximately 7.30am. Arriving at the Mitchell Plateau airstrip we are greeted by our guide and taken to KWA’s Safari Camp for breakfast. We then depart by 4WD vehicle to the Mitchell Falls , where you will take a guided tour of not only the falls, but also the many Aboriginal art sites that are located in the area. After lunch at the falls and a refreshing swim, passengers have the option of either walking out of the falls, or taking one of the spectacular helicopter flights that are available. Overnight accommodation is at Ungolan Safari Camp adjacent to the Kandiwal Aboriginal Community. The following morning you will embark on a 8.00am scenic flight to Kununurra, arriving approximately 9.30am

(Please note: this tour is operated on very small group size with Aboriginal Guides from the local community accompanying the tour whenever possible. Due to cultural commitments this is sometimes not possible, however every attempt by KWA will be made to ensure that a local guide is available.)
