We'll ferry you out to the Odyssey where you can enjoy a light breakfast and settle into your new home for the next 10 days. We should be under way by 7am. You can watch a DVD movie, enjoy the sea air and views from the fly bridge or have a nap in your bunk as we cruise North towards our first stop at the Lacepede Islands. Here we'll have lunch and view a major sea bird breeding ground. It's then back on the boat for a cruise to Cape Leveque for the night. Day 2 Buccaneer Archipelago including Strickland Bay and onto Gibbings Island for the night. Enjoy beach and island walks. Then sit back and enjoy the scenery as we cruise throughout the magnificent Archipelago. The Buccaneer Archipelago consists of more than 800 islands and this area experiences over 10 metre tidal range. Relax and take in the scenery as we cruise through whirlpool passage to our beautiful over night anchorage at Gibbings Island. You're very welcome to go ashore and camp under the stars on this beautiful beach. Day 3. Gibbings Island to Montgomery Reef then to Sampson Inlet for the evening. Packing camp (or boat) we make an early start as we head towards Montgomery Reef. A chance to spot whales and dolphins at play. Pending a low tide, our tour will hopefully include reef walks enjoying the marine life on Montgomery Reef. Up anchor and we will cruise into the magnificent Sampson Inlet for the evening. Day 4. Cruise to St George Basin at the mouth of the Prince Regent River. From Sampson Inlet we cruise into the St George Basin at the mouth of the Prince Regent River. We'll set our anchor at the beautiful Saint Patrick's Island and go ashore and enjoy a bush walk and take in some magnificent scenery. |
