Kimberley Wilderness Adventures operate a series of Permanent Safari Camps that offer quality tented Accommodation with the bonus of fully catered for services, making it the ideal way to experience the Kimberley Wilderness in comfort, whilst still retaining the unforgettable experience of staying in the Kimberley bushlands.

With camps strategically located at the Mitchell Plateau, the Bungle Bungle National Park and three sites along the Gibb River Road, this network of Safari camps offer unsurpassed hospitality in some of the Kimberley's most remote locations, with the added advantage of being located adjacent to some of the Kimberley's greatest icons.

 

 As said, our camps are located close to the Kimberley icons. These are 

 

Yuwa Station Camp - located between Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek on the Fairfield Station, an aboriginal owned working cattle station.

Imintji Safari Camp - located on the banks of Sadlers Creek on the Gibb River Road between Bell Gorge, Manning Gorge, Galvin's Gorge, the perfect spot for a two night stop over.

Marunbabidi Safari Camp - located 10klms off the Kalumburu Road near Drysdale Station. A beautiful bush setting abundant in bird life and a perfect stopover on your way to Mitchell Plateau or Kalumburu.

Ungolan Safari Camp - located at the Mitchell Plateau adjacent to the airstrip, this camp is the perfect place to explore the delights of Mitchell Falls and surrounding area. A beautiful camp located on a river bank amidst a natural forest of Livestonia Palms.

The camps enable the self drive traveller to tour this fascinating region, without the hassle of worrying about catering or camping equipment for your overnight stays. The camps also offer camping as such, with a touch of class as gone are the days of sleeping on the ground and washing in the river. Our camps operate under strict environmental practices and can offer you all of the luxuries of home in a beautiful bush setting. Apart from the services that we offer, we also offer no crowds, with all camps having a number of walks and activities that you can do that will further enhance your overnight stay. 

With a Safari-pass you can now plan your trip through the Kimberley basing your days travels around the convenience of KWA camps. Simply nominate your safari camp accommodation dates, give us a call and all of your accommodation problems are solved. All accommodation has to be pre booked as limited space is available.

Children between the age of  14ys and 4yrs $66 per night. 

Children under the age of four sharing with their Parents stay free if they are sharing the same tent.

  • Communication ( normally Satellite Phones or HF Radio's )

PLEASE NOTE : K.W.A. prides itself in the fact that we operate our camps in an environmentally friendly manner. We generate our own power either by solar or by hybrid power systems, however all power requirements for our overnight stays are supplied by high capacity battery storage. All cooking and hot showers are supplied by LPG bottled gas. All water for drinking is filtered and treated where required. All refrigeration is either gas powered or low voltage. Most camps are on Aboriginal lands in partnership with the local Aboriginal people. There is no 240volt power available at any of our camps.  

 

Kimberley Wilderness Adventure Camps are closed to the public between 9.00am and 3.00pm daily to allow the camp to be serviced. Check in is after 3.00pm. As a general rule dinner is served at 6.30pm, breakfast is at 6.30am. 

 

Due to local Shire Requirements, all refrigeration is classed as commercial and therefore is constantly monitored. For this reason we cannot offer refrigeration space for personal use by our clients. (Medical requirements exempt)
