Access to the Boat You are free to access all areas. If you want to come into the wheelhouse just ask and we'll be pleased to show you around. We'd also be happy to give you a complete guided tour on the engine room. Leaving the Boat Your safety is our biggest responsibility. To ensure the only physical defect you take home is an uncontrollable grin, we've set a few simple guidelines in place: 1. Do not leave the boat until the skipper or one of his crew gives you the "all clear". We'll generally give you a quick briefing as to what to expect in that area. 2. You will be checked in when you return to the boat and counted before we leave an area. Do not return to the water after you have been counted on. Safety 1st Aid. An extensive first aid kit is available. Ask one of the crew. It's a good idea to get on top of even minor cuts and scratches as in these warm waters they can quickly fester. |

Boat Facts The Odyssey Abrolhos is a purpose built charter boat. She is 16m in length with a 5.0m beam, and draws 1.8 metres. Her keel runs the full length of the vessel protecting the prop and allowing her to sit safely in shallow rivers. A big quiet 1000Hp Mercedes diesel powers her. She can cruise at 14 knots with a top speed of around 24 knots. Seaquest Boat Builders built her in Perth in the year 2001. She is surveyed for up to 12 passengers overnight however we limit her to 10 for your comfort. An on board desalination plant provides plenty of high quality fresh water. Several freezers ensure our food is kept fresh for our 10 days at sea. 240 Volt power is provided by a 13kVA Isuzu diesel generator or a completely quiet inverter for the night. She carries a compliment of the latest navigational equipment, radios, satellite communications, and a full DVD entertainment system. |
