Day 1: Alice Springs

On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel (flights into Alice Springs prior to 1.00pm). This afternoon tour 'The Alice', includes the historic Telegraph Station, Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Alice Springs Reptile Centre. Visit the School of the Air, where sometimes we are able to listen to the children take lessons on air. Later enjoy panoramic views of Alice Springs from Anzac Hill. Accommodation: Rydges Plaza (AY54S), Alice Springs Resort (AY54F), Mercure Inn Diplomat (AY54R) or Melanka Lodge (AY54L).

Day 2: Alice Springs - Ayers Rock - The Olgas

An early start for Ayers Rock Resort, stopping to view Mt. Conner on the way. This afternoon tour the Olgas (Kata Tjuta) and then view sunset over Ayers Rock (Uluru) and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort - choice of accommodation.

Day 3: Ayers Rock - Alice Springs

An early tour to view sunrise over Ayers Rock is available at no extra charge (tea and coffee included). Time is available for the energetic to climb to the top of Ayers Rock. Tour the base and stop at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. You may like to take an optional scenic flight before you depart this afternoon for Alice Springs. Accommodation: Rydges Plaza (AY54S), Alice Springs Resort (AY54F), Mercure Inn Diplomat (AY54R) or Melanka Lodge (AY54L).

Day 4: Desert Discovery Tour

This morning spend time with a local Aboriginal guide as we travel to a site of significance to the Arrernte people, on a Desert Discovery Tour. See demonstrations of boomerang and spear throwing, and learn about traditional sources for food and medicine. Following a morning tea of damper and billy tea, learn about tribal life, languages, art, dance and music. Touring concludes with a transfer to your hotel or to the airport. Flights must be booked to depart after 11.45am (Note: Airfare not included with this tour).

Day 1: West MacDonnell Ranges - Alice Springs Desert Park

This morning visit Simpsons Gap and Standley Chasm. Visit Ormiston Gorge and enjoy a hearty picnic lunch (opportunity for swimming in hotter months). Stop at the Alice Springs Desert Park and see unique Australian desert wildlife. Day 2: Alice Springs - The Olgas

Walk to the Valley of the Winds Lookout and after your return view sunset over the Olgas with a glass of sparkling wine. Continue on to enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing. Day 3: Ayers Rock

An optional tour to view sunrise on Ayers Rock (Uluru) is available at no extra charge (tea and coffee included). An early start for those wishing to climb Ayers Rock. A tour of the monolith's base is included and a visit to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Time is available for an optional scenic flight. This evening enjoy a complimentary glass of wine while you watch the sun set over Ayers Rock.

Day 4: Kings Canyon

An early start to travel to Kings Canyon. Enjoy spectacular views of Watarrka National Park from the top of the Canyon. Alternatively, you may prefer to explore the boulder-strewn Canyon floor. Return this evening to Ayers Rock Resort.

This morning your Guide will point out a number of interesting features of the base of Ayers Rock (Uluru). Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and view the informative exhibits and displays. This afternoon travel to the Olgas (Kata Tjuta) and walk to the Valley of the Winds Lookout. View sunset over the Olgas with a glass of sparkling wine and continue on to enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing. (D)
