Day 1: Alice Springs - Ayers Rock

Travel from Alice Springs to Ayers Rock Resort stopping to view majestic Mt. Conner on the way. This afternoon visit the Olgas (Kata Tjuta). Explore Olga Gorge and then watch the sun set over Ayers Rock (Uluru) while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort - choice of accommodation.

Day 2: Ayers Rock - Kings Canyon

Early departure to view the spectacle of the sunrise over Ayers Rock (tea and coffee included). You may like to climb to the top of the monolith. Continue on a base tour around Ayers Rock. Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre before returning to the resort. Depart this afternoon for travel to Kings Canyon. Accommodation: Kings Canyon Resort - Spa Rooms (AK43S) or Rangeview Rooms (AK43F and AK43R) or Kings Canyon Lodge (AK43L).

Day 3: Kings Canyon - Alice Springs

This morning join a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for marvellous views. An easier walk along the boulder-strewn Canyon floor is also available. Enjoy lunch at Kings Canyon Resort (own expense) before travelling to Alice Springs.

The trail leads through to a lookout point with spectacular views deep into the Valley of the Winds. This afternoon travel to Kings Canyon Resort. Day 3: Kings Canyon - Alice Springs

This morning join your Guide for the rocky climb to the rim of magnificent Kings Canyon (for the energetic, sturdy footwear required). Alternatively, you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn Canyon floor, an easier shady walk. There is time to purchase lunch at Kings Canyon Resort (own expense) before travelling to Alice Springs, arriving at approximately 7.45pm.

A tour of the monolith's base is included and a visit to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. There is time this afternoon for an optional scenic flight. This evening watch sunset over Ayers Rock and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine.

Day 3: Ayers Rock - Kings Canyon - Alice Springs

An early start from Ayers Rock Resort should reward us with a magnificent desert sunrise en route to Kings Canyon. Breakfast may be purchased at Kings Creek Station (own expense). Make the rocky climb to the rim of the Canyon (for the energetic) for marvellous views. Alternatively, you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn Canyon floor. Stop at Kings Canyon Resort to purchase lunch (own expense) before returning to Alice Springs.

Make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon to be rewarded with marvellous views. The climb may take up to 3 hours and is for the energetic. Alternatively you may wish to explore the boulder strewn canyon floor, an easier walk. After lunch (own expense) we make our way back to Ayers Rock Resort.

Day 3: Ayers Rock

An optional tour to view the sunrise at Ayers Rock (Uluru) is available at no extra charge (tea and coffee included). This is a unique experience and should not be missed. An early start also for those wishing to climb Ayers Rock. Tour the monolith's base including a guided walk into Mutitjulu Waterhole. There is also time available to visit Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to learn more about Aboriginal culture and see Aboriginal arts and crafts. Afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight. Flights must be booked to depart after 12.30pm (Note: airfare not included with this tour).
