Day 1
The adventure begins
travelling through the James and Waterhouse Ranges to the Outback Camel
Farm where many passengers will have their first opportunity to ride a
camel (at own expense). We journey onto Uluru (Ayers Rock) enjoying the
sights of the ancient Hugh & Finke River systems, Mt Connor, and the unique
scenery along the way. After lunch at Yulara, we set out to explore the
wonder of Kata Tjuta (Olgas) and hike the Valley of the Winds. We return
to enjoy champagne whilst we watch the desert sun set over Uluru (Ayers
Rock). After a hearty dinner at our permanent campsite, take the opportunity
to view the brilliance of the outback sky then curl up for the night in
our tents or if you prefer, under the millions of stars in an authentic
Aussie bedroll (swag). (LD)

Day 2
An early start is required
for one of the highlights of the tour - the Uluru (Ayers Rock) sunrise.
The challenge of the optional Uluru climb is rewarded with an incredible
view of the rock and the changing light on the desert. This spectacular
experience is followed by a base tour, exploring its mysterious rock formations
& Aboriginal art sites. A visit to the Cultural Centre offers the chance
to view and purchase Aboriginal arts and crafts. After lunch at Yulara,
we depart for Kings Canyon for our overnight camp and delicious camp oven
cooking. (BLD)
|
|
Day 3
Climb and explore Kings Canyon
and view the 'Amphitheatre', 'The Lost City', the picturesque 'Garden
of Eden' and the breathtaking North and South Walls. We then take time
to relax and refresh in the cooling waterhole (summer only). After lunch
we depart for Alice Springs to relive your experiences over the after
tour meal. (BLD)
Note: Itinerary can also be
booked for drop off at Ayers Rock with notice but must start in Alice
Springs
