The Top End of the Northern Territory is wild and fascinating. Here you will see wide billabongs covered with water lilies, flocks of Magpie geese, crocodiles in their natural habitat, spectacular waterfalls, fascinating rock formations and caves bearing the Aboriginal rock art of the past. Arnhem Land, Kakadu and Litchfield National Park are lush tropical havens, offering visitors a nature based experience and the chance to encounter unique native wildlife and some of Australia's most amazing flora and fauna.

2 Days Kakadu National Park and East Alligator River - Free 'Meet & Greet'

Day 1: Darwin - Kakadu

Travel deep into Kakadu National Park. Take a guided walk to view Aboriginal rock art at Nourlangie Rock. After lunch join the famous Yellow Water Billabong Cruise to observe saltwater crocodiles and prolific bird life. Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and view the informative displays and exhibits. Accommodation: Gagudju Crocodile Holiday Inn, Kakadu Resort or Kakadu Lodge. (L)

Day 2: Kakadu - Darwin

This morning stop at Ubirr with a short walk to view rock art.
Join the Guluyambi Cruise along the East Alligator River in search of saltwater crocodiles. We have an Aboriginal guide with us and with the special permission of the local people, we will be able to go ashore in Arnhem Land. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre. Opportunity for an optional scenic flight over the Arnhem Land Escarpment (replaces Bowali Visitor Centre). Return journey to Darwin. (L)

Note: During the months November to May, access to Ubirr and East Alligator River is not always possible. Alternative touring will be arranged.

2 Days Katherine Gorge and Mataranka Experience - Free 'Meet & Greet'

Day 1: Darwin - Katherine

Leaving Darwin we travel south via WWII airstrips to Adelaide River, where we visit the Adelaide River War Cemetery. Continue to Edith Falls, where you have time for a refreshing swim. Travel to Katherine Gorge in Nitmiluk National Park. After lunch join a scenic 2 hour cruise, where you have the opportunity to see wildlife and prolific bird life. Our tour of the first two gorges takes us past sheer rock walls and all manner of flora and fauna. Accommodation: Pine Tree Motel, Katherine. (L)

Day 2: Mataranka

This morning journey to Mataranka 'Land of the Never Never'. Visit the unique rammed earth constructed Territory Manor and watch barramundi being fed. On arrival at Mataranka Homestead, we take time to visit the replica of the original Elsey Homestead. You have time to swim in the famous thermal springs, before enjoying lunch. On your return to Katherine you have time to explore the township before returning to Darwin. (L)

Join the Arnhemlander Tour and travel by 4WD into Arnhem Land, where you will cruise along a billabong and learn about the Aboriginal history of the area. Journey into some of the more remote and restricted areas of Kakadu, as guests of the Bunidj people. Visit ancient rock art sites that are protected by a towering escarpment and hear some of the Aboriginal stories of the surrounding country. Return to Darwin this afternoon with a greater understanding of the relationship between the Aboriginal people and their land. (L)
