Personalised Charters ....let us help you plan your own itinerary.... Visit ancient rock art galleries, bushwalk some of the last unspoilt country, cruise a tranquil billabong teeming with wildlife, swim in pristine pools and waterfalls, visit a working cattle station, see ancient saltwater crocodilians or visit mystical Arnhem Land. Our tours can depart Darwin or Jabiru and include Katherine and Litchfield. Lord's is a family name. Sab Lords father John was a pioneer of Kakadu prior to it becoming a national park. John & his wife Pauline travelled to the Northern Territory in 1959 to establish a successful buffalo and crocodile hunting operation on Munmalary Station, near the South Alligator River. In those days it was a 14 hour slog to Darwin, today the trip takes about 2 ½ hours. Most of the station buildings remain today, including the homestead, which is listed by the National Trust. After leaving the area, the family returned in the late eighties and started 'Lord of Kakadu' tours. In 1999 Sab took over from his father and renamed the new operation as it is today Lords Kakadu & Arnhemland Safaris. Due to growing up with many of the local Aboriginals, Sab is fortunate to share a mutual respect with them, and it is this which has been instrumental in Lords Safaris gaining sole access to some exceptional country in Arnhem Land. Lords Safaris have been involved closely with training and employment of local Aboriginal people from the Oenpelli region to partake as guides at Injalak Hill. These guides give a special experience to our Australian and overseas visitors by showing them around Injalak, acknowledged as one of the best rock art sites inWestern Arhemland. Lords Safaris also works closely with Davidsons Arnhemland Safaris, a multi award winning camp in the heart of Arnhemland, we can offer ground touring into Jabiru then you can either fly off into the heart of Arnhemland or take the entire trip by 4WD.
