Description

Travel with us on one of our small, personalised tours. Maximum 9 passengers. Lord’s Kakadu & Arnhemland Safaris are pioneers of the area and fortunate in that we have a mutual respect and understanding with the local Aboriginal people.

Our first stop in Arnhem Land is Gunbalanya, where we collect our Aboriginal guide who will accompany you on your walk up Injaluk Hill. The hill has excellent examples of Aboriginal rockart, and the view from the top is truly breathtaking. Looking out across the floodplains and across to the escarpment the walk will be one of the many highlights of your day in Arnhem Land.

When we farewell our Aboriginal guide at the Injaluk Art & Craft Centre in Gunbalanya, there is time to view the artists working. There is also time to browse or purchase from the many fine examples of work on display.

Morning tea is provided at Injaluk Hill. We then have lunch beside a shady billabong. Iced water is also available throughout the day.

After lunch we enter into the truly magnificent Mikinj Valley, an area exclusive to Lord’s Kakadu & Arnhemland Safaris, which provides excellent photo opportunities of breathtaking scenery, Aboriginal rock art and wildlife.

We welcome all ages although a reasonable level of fitness is required.
